To honour Kelly Parsons, a BC poet who passed away from cancer before she was able to write on the Hessay abstracts, fellow poets completed the task. Those who were able to give live readings on the various days of the events include: Karen Ballinger, bill bissett, Dorothy Field, Patrick Friesen, Corinna Gilliland, Judith Heron, Eve Joseph, Barbara Colebrook Peace, Linda Rogers, Carol Ann Sokoloff, Gray Sutherland, Patricia Young, and Terence Young. Professor Kathryn Kerby-Fulton from the University of Notre Dame gave a special talk on Kelly Parsons.
